Product description 

The preparation belongs to the group of vitamin preparations. Its biotin is a water-soluble vitamin that belongs to the group of B vitamins.

Dosage:

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Recommended dose:
usually 5 mg daily.

Note: The preparation should be used regularly.

Composition:

The active substance is biotin. Each tablet contains 5 mg biotin. The other ingredients are: sorbitol (E 420), magnesium stearate, colloidal silica.

Action

Biotin supports the processes of keratin formation and differentiation of epidermal cells and hair and nails, improving their condition.

Indications:

Biotebal is used in biotin deficiency.
The preparation can be used in cases resulting from biotin deficiency: hair loss, nail and hair growth disorders as well as excessive fragility and inflammation of the skin located around the eyes, nose, mouth.

Contraindications:

Do not use Biotebal if you are allergic to biotin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

Side effects:

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Gastrointestinal disorders and urticaria may occur in isolated cases.

Warnings and precautions:

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Biotebal.

Use of other medicines:

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. Anticonvulsants (phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, primidone) cause a decrease in blood biotin levels. Steroid hormones can accelerate the breakdown of biotin in tissues

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Pregnancy:

The amount of biotin contained in Biotebal significantly exceeds the recommended daily allowance for pregnant women, therefore the preparation should not be used in women during this period.

Breast-feeding:

The amount of biotin contained in Biotebal significantly exceeds the recommended daily allowance for breastfeeding women. Biotin is excreted in human milk, but this has not been shown to affect the breast-fed infant. The preparation should not be used in women who are breastfeeding.
