Active substances

Licorice naked contains saponins and flavonoids and substances similar in their action to steroid hormones, which are produced by the cork layer of the adrenal glands and have an extremely strong anti-inflammatory effect. One of the flavonoids (glycyrrhizin) enhances the secretory activity of the mucous glands of the upper respiratory tract, and increases the activity of the ciliated epithelium in the trachea and bronchi. Saponins increase the secretion of the mucous glands of the upper respiratory tract, which contributes to the rapid discharge of sputum. As a result of the combined action of glycyrrhizin, saponins and flavonoids, in the composition of licorice naked, the preparation promotes the transition of a dry cough into a wet cough, and helps to remove accumulated mucus and infectious agents from the respiratory tract.

Holy basil contains eugenol, which has a strong bactericidal and disinfectant effect.
