Description Budixon neb, suspension for nebulization 0.5 mg/ml, 2 ml x 20 containers — Made in Poland by Adamed — Free Delivery

Product description

The preparation Budikson Neb contains a powerful non-halogenated GCS - budesonide, intended for the treatment of bronchial asthma in patients for whom the use of inhalers with spraying of preparations with compressed air or in the form of a dosage form of a dry powder is ineffective or impractical.

Budixon Neb is recommended for use in infants and children with croup (complications of acute viral upper respiratory tract infection, also known as laryngotracheobronchitis or subglottic laryngitis), which is an indication for hospitalization.

The preparation is intended for the treatment of exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), if the use of budesonide in the form of a suspension for nebulization is recognized as justified.

It is indicated for the relief of acute attacks of asthma or asthmatic conditions and apnea.

Structure

active substance: budesonide;

1 ml of spray suspension contains 0.125 mg, 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg of budesonide;

excipients: sodium edetate, sodium chloride, tween-80, citric acid, sodium citrate, water for injection.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to budesonide or to any other component of the preparation.

Mode of application

Suspensions of Budixon Sky for nebulization should be used with a nebulizer with an adapter or a breathing mask.

In order to minimize the risk of candidiasis in the mouth and throat, the patient should rinse his mouth with water after each inhalation.

The patient should also be advised to be sure to rinse the face with water after use.

nebulizer with breathing mask to prevent facial irritation.

Ultrasonic nebulizers should not be used as they do not provide adequate dosing of budesonide.

The nebulizer and compressor should produce droplets with a diameter of 3 to 5 mm.

Application features

Pregnant

Administration of budesonide during pregnancy requires careful weighing of the benefits to the woman versus the risks to the fetus. Inhaled glucocorticosteroids should be preferred over oral corticosteroids given the lesser severity of systemic effects when used in doses necessary to achieve the same response from the respiratory system.

Children

Budikson Neb is used in children according to indications (see Sections "Indications" and "Peculiarities of use").

Drivers

Means Budikson Neb does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and work with other mechanisms.

Overdose

Acute overdose of Budixon Neb should not be a clinically significant problem, even when using excessive doses.

The preparation contains 0.1 mg / ml sodium edetate, which has been shown to cause bronchoconstriction if its level exceeds 1.2 mg / ml.

Adverse Reactions

Infections and infestations. Often. Oropharyngeal candidiasis pneumonia (in patients with COPD).

Respiratory, thoracic and mediastinal disorders. Often. cough, hoarseness; throat irritation; dysphonia.

Interaction

In women who simultaneously took estrogens or hormonal contraceptives, the concentration of budesonide in the blood plasma increased and the effect of GCS increased, however, when using budesonide together with low doses of combined oral contraceptives, this effect was absent.

Due to the possible suppression of adrenal function, the ACTH stimulation test for the diagnosis of pituitary insufficiency may give erroneous results (low values).

Storage conditions

Store at temperatures below 30 ° C out of reach of children. Do not freeze. Store in original packaging and envelope to protect from light.

Shelf life. 36 months.

After opening the envelope, the containers it contains should be used within 3 months. After reconstitution or dilution, the suspension must be used within 30 minutes.
