Product description

Butiner 500 is a food for special medical purposes, containing butyric acid in the form of sodium butyrate. The preparation is intended for the dietary management of functional disorders of the intestines such as irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel diseases, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, gastrointestinal infections, diarrhea resulting from antibiotic therapy, travelers' diarrhea, disturbances in the intestinal flora and butyric acid deficiency resulting from the use of a low-residue diet containing small amounts of dietary fiber.

A special tablet coating protects the active ingredient of the preparation against gastric juice and prevents absorption in the small intestine. Controlled-release gastro-resistant tablets allow you to reach the large intestine.

Application

Food for special medical purposes for dietary management:

• in functional disorders of the intestines,
• in inflammatory bowel diseases,
• in intestinal infections and diarrhea.

Recommended intake

Adults and children over 7 years of age: 1 tablet daily, preferably with a meal.

Usage method

Swallow the tablets whole with a drink of water (do not chew them).

It is recommended to use the preparation for a period of at least 6 weeks.

The doctor may recommend a different method of using the preparation depending on the individual patient's needs.

Ingredients

Sodium butyrate, binding agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, bulking agent: calcium phosphate, coating (glazing agent: anionic methacrylate copolymer, anti-caking agents: polysorbate 80, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, binding agent: triethyl citrate), anti-caking agents: , silicon dioxide.

100 g of the product contains:

• energy value 836 kJ / 199 kcal,
• fat 2.8 g, of which saturated fatty acids 2.8 g; carbohydrates 0 g, including sugars 0 g; protein 0 g; salt 29.8 g,

sodium butyrate 56.1 g.

• 1 tablet contains:
• energy value 7.6 kJ / 1.8 kcal,
• fat 0.03 g, including saturated fatty acids 0.03 g; carbohydrates 0 g, including sugars 0 g; protein 0 g; salt 0.26 g,
• sodium butyrate 0.5 g.

Contraindications

Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of the preparation.

The product should not be used by people with swallowing disorders.

The preparation should be used under the supervision of a physician.

The product is not intended for parenteral use and cannot be used as the sole source of food.
