Ceraxon (Citicolinum, Citicoline) - neuroprotective preparations.

Citicoline, as a precursor of key ultrastructural components of the cell membrane (mainly phospholipids), has a broad spectrum of action: helps to restore damaged cell membranes, inhibits the action of phospholipases, preventing excessive production of free radicals and prevent cell death by acting on the mechanisms of apoptosis.

In the acute phase of stroke citicoline reduces the amount of brain damage tissue, improves cholinergic transmission.

With traumatic brain injury reduces the duration of post-traumatic coma and severity of neurological symptoms, except that citicoline reduces the duration of the recovery period.

Chronic hypoxia golvnogo brain citicoline is effective in the treatment of cognitive disorders such as memory loss, lack of initiative, the difficulties encountered in carrying out daily activities and self-care. Contraindications:

• hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation;

Special instructions:

Suggested Use:

Preparation is administered intravenously as a slow injection (3-5 minutes, depending on the administered dose) or a drip infusion (40-60 drops per minute).
