Product description

Coviflu tablets are an antiviral agent. Indicated for use in the treatment of new or recurrent pandemic infections caused by the influenza virus, in which treatment with other antiviral agents was ineffective or insufficiently effective.

Compound

1 coated tablet contains favipiravir 200 mg;

excipients: L-hydroxypropyl cellulose, crospovidone, silicon dioxide, povidone, sodium stearyl fumarate.

The composition of the film shell opadry yellow 03A520072, hypromellose HPMC 2910 (E 464), talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), iron oxide yellow (E 172).

Contraindications

pregnancy or suspected pregnancy: in animal studies, early embryonic death and teratogenic effects have been observed;

a history of hypersensitivity reactions to any component of the preparation.

Mode of application

The total treatment period should be 5 days.

The usual adult dose of favipiravir is 1600 mg (8 tablets) orally twice a day on the first day of treatment, followed by 600 mg (3 tablets) orally twice a day for 4 days.

It is contraindicated to use the preparation Coviflu for women with known or suspected pregnancy.

Breast-feeding

When using the preparation Coviflu, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Children

The preparation is not intended for use in children.

Drivers

There is no data on the effect of favipiravir on the ability to drive vehicles and work with other mechanisms.

Overdose

There is no evidence of an overdose with favipiravir.

Side effects

From the liver: increased levels of AST, ALT, γ-GTP.

From the gastrointestinal tract: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain.

From the side of the blood: a decrease in the number of neutrophils, a decrease in the number of leukocytes.

From the respiratory system: bronchial asthma, pain in the oropharynx, rhinitis, nasopharyngitis.

Storage conditions

Store in original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C.
