Indications:

Daktarin cream is indicated for the treatment of fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts and other fungi such as:

head mycosis,

torso,

cancer,

mycosis of the groin,

tinea pedis (athlete's foot).

Due to the antibacterial activity of Daktarin, the cream can be used against mycoses that are secondarily infected by bacteria (e.g. diaper dermatitis).

Properties:

Daktarin cream is an antifungal preparation intended for use in the treatment of fungal skin infections such as tinea pedis, trunk, hands, groin or athlete's foot (athlete's foot). Due to its antibacterial effect, it can be used in mycoses that are secondarily infected by bacteria (e.g. diaper dermatitis).

Daktarin cream contains the active substance miconazole. Miconazole has an antifungal activity against, among others, dermatophytes and yeasts, and antibacterial against gram-positive rods and cocci. Miconazole is also used in the treatment of secondarily infected mycoses. Miconazole usually relieves the skin itch that often accompanies dermatophyte and yeast infections. The pruritus goes away before other signs of healing appear.

Ingredients:

The active substance of the preparation is miconazole nitrate. 1 g of cream contains 20 mg of miconazole. The other ingredients are butylhydroxyanisole (E 320), benzoic acid (E 210), liquid paraffin, macrogolglyceride oleates, macrogol 6 and macrogol 32 glycol stearate, purified water.

Use:

Daktarin cream is applied to the affected areas of the skin, usually twice a day. When Daktarin cream is used simultaneously with Daktarin medicated powder, it is recommended to use both forms once a day. The duration of treatment is 2 to 6 weeks depending on the location and severity of the lesions. Treatment should be continued for at least 1 week after all symptoms and lesions have resolved.
