Composition of 1 tablet

Active ingredients: selenium - 100 µg (mcg);

Excipients: dicalcium phosphate (E341 (ii) hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (E464), microcrystalline cellulose (E460 (s), modified starch, fatty acids (E570), magnesium salts of fatty acids (E470b), riboflavin-5-phosphate (E101 (ii)) hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (E463), iron oxides and hydroxides (E172), croscarmellose sodium (E468), talc (E553b), silicon dioxide (E551), coconut oil.

Pharmacological properties

Selenium - an important trace mineral that helps protect cells from oxidative stress and contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system, is a key element in maintaining homeostasis of the human body. Plays a key role in the functioning of the endocrine system, namely the thyroid gland.

Tablet Doppelherz active Selenium consists of two layers. Part of the active substance is contained in the first rapid release layer, and the other part in the DEPO gradual release layer.

Selenium deficiency leads to a decrease in the activity of selenoproteins: glutathione peroxidase, deiodinase, thioredoxin reductase, as well as selenoproteins P, which ensure adequate functioning of the thyroid gland.

Glutathione peroxidase is one of the most powerful antioxidant enzymes that binds dissolved oxygen and prevents the build-up of hydrogen peroxide in the thyroid gland.
