Dietary supplement Enterflor TM is a product created on the basis of the tropical strain of the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii and designed to maintain normal bowel function.

Active ingredients

Boulardi saccharomycetes (Saccharomyces boulardii) are a transient microflora that exerts its biological effect, passing through the gastrointestinal tract, after which they leave it within two to five days. In addition to direct and indirect antimicrobial, antiviral and antitoxic effects, Saccharomyces boulardii stimulate the activity of digestive enzymes, thus improving the absorption of food, reduce excess water and electrolyte secretion caused by diarrhea, positively affect the nonspecific immune system, thereby increasing the body's resistance to infections.

Peculiarities

A feature of Boulardi Saccharomycetes is that they do not colonize the intestines, but leave it within 2-5 days. During their stay in the intestines, they create favorable conditions for the formation of their own healthy microflora. Boulardi saccharomycetes increase the enzymatic function of the intestine, and also have a direct antagonistic effect against many types of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms

Method of administration and recommended daily dose

For the prevention of diarrhea or in complex therapy, unless the doctor has prescribed otherwise, for adults and children from 12 years old, 1 sachet 1-2 times a day, for children aged 3 to 12 years, 1 sachet once a day. Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in 100 ml (ml) of drinking water at a temperature of + 20 ° C to + 25 ° C. During treatment with antibiotics, in particular sulfonamides, you can use it from the first day of antibiotic therapy and a few more days after its completion. For the prevention of travelers' diarrhea, it is recommended to use it 5 days before the trip.
