FESTAL® NEO 10000 - enzymes for digestion, help to reduce the feeling of heaviness and bloating.

Festal® Neo 10,000 is a new enzyme preparation containing pancreatin in a dose of 10,000 lipase units. The drug helps to digest proteins, fats and carbohydrates and thus normalizes the digestive process. It is used to improve the digestion of food in case of violations of the balanced diet (overeating), as well as in diseases accompanied by a violation of the process of digestion of food (chronic pancreatitis, impaired chewing function).

Indications for use

Diseases accompanied by impaired digestion of food due to insufficient secretion of digestive enzymes by the pancreas, such as chronic pancreatitis.

Conditions after simultaneous resection of the stomach and small intestine, conditions after pancreatectomy.

Functional acceleration of the passage of food through the intestines.

Flatulence, dyspepsia, bowel disorders.

Preparation for X-ray or ultrasound diagnostic examinations of the abdominal organs (intestinal degassing).

To improve the digestion of food for persons with normal function of the gastrointestinal tract in case of violations of the balanced diet (heaviness in the stomach, eating large amounts of food, eating fatty, fried or unusual food, eating indigestible plant foods, irregular nutrition), with violations of chewing function.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to porcine pancreatin or to excipients of the drug. Acute pancreatitis or chronic pancreatitis in the acute stage. The drug should not be used in patients with obstructive intestinal obstruction.

Method of administration and dosage

In case of consumption of indigestible plant foods, fatty or unusual foods, take 1-2 tablets once.

In other cases, when digestive disorders occur, the recommended single dose is 2-4 tablets.

The dose of Festal® NEO 10,000 depends on the deficiency of pancreatic enzymes in the duodenum and is set individually.

The dose can be increased if necessary. Increasing the dose in order to reduce the symptoms of the disease, such as steatorrhea or abdominal pain, should only be carried out under the supervision of a physician.

The daily dose of lipase should not exceed 15,000-20,000 ED E.F. per 1 kg of body weight.

Take the tablets with meals, swallowing whole with plenty of liquid, such as a glass of water.

The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease and is determined by the doctor on an individual basis.

Children

For use in children over 3 years of age.

The doctor decides on the dose and duration of treatment for children. The drug should be prescribed in a daily dose necessary to normalize the stool during each main meal, but not more than 1500 units of lipase per 1 kg of body weight of a child under the age of 12 years. For children over 12 years old, the daily dose of enzymes should not exceed 15,000-20,000 ED E.F. lipase per 1 kg of body weight.

Use during pregnancy or lactation

The safety of pancreatin in pregnant women has not been established.

The safety of pancreatin in women who are breastfeeding babies has not been established.

Structure

Active substance: pancreatin; 1 tablet contains pancreatin, which corresponds to the minimum enzymatic activity: 10,000 lipolytic IU, 7,500 amylolytic IU, 375 proteolytic IU.

Excipients: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, crospovidone, hypromellose, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate; shell: polyethylene glycol, dry mixture "Acryl-eze white" containing talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), methacrylate copolymer, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carbonate, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide.

Storage conditions

Store in its original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.
