In acute and chronic respiratory diseases with difficult expectoration of thick bronchial secretions.

1 ml of the syrup contains the active substance: 1.6 mg of bromhexine hydrochloride. 5 ml of syrup (1 measuring spoon) contains 8 mg of bromhexine hydrochloride. Excipients: liquid sorbitol, non-crystallising (E 420), propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), sodium saccharin (E 954), cherry flavor (propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, DL-citrate acid lactic, 4-methoxyacetophenone, 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-pyrone (maltol), anisaldehyde, benzoic acid), purified water.

Expectorant, liquefying secretions from the respiratory tract. Facilitates expectoration and bronchial cleansing.

Oral use. Recommended dose:

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 5 ml of syrup (1 measuring spoon) 3 times a day.

Children from 6 to 12 years of age: 2.5 ml of syrup (1/2 measuring spoon) 3 times a day.

Flegafortan should not be taken at bedtime.

Flegafortan should not be used for more than 5 days in adults and more than 3 days in children aged 6 years and over without consulting a doctor.

Allergic to bromhexine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this drug, active gastric or duodenal ulcer disease. Do not use in children under 6 years of age. Do not use simultaneously with antitussive drugs and drugs reducing the amount of bronchial secretions. Do not use if you suffer from bronchial asthma or if you have liver dysfunction or kidney failure. The use is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery, due to the possibility of drowsiness or pain and dizziness.
