Indications:

Flegtac Cough 1.6 mg / ml is a preparation in the form of a syrup indicated for use in acute and chronic respiratory diseases associated with expectoration and mucus removal disorders. The preparation is intended for children over 2 years of age and adults.

Properties:

The active substance Flegtac Cough syrup contains bromhexine hydrochloride, which has an expectorant effect by liquefying secretions from the respiratory tract. This makes it easier for the cilia (the tiny hairs that line the airways) to transport bronchial secretions and expel them from the lungs. Bromhexine facilitates expectoration and has a soothing effect on cough. Flegtac Cough 1.6 mg / ml can be dispensed without a prescription and is characterized by a cherry flavor.

Composition:

1 ml of syrup contains 1.6 mg of bromhexine hydrochloride.

Excipients: liquid non-crystallising sorbitol (E420), propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), sodium saccharin (E954), purified water, cherry flavor (propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, 4, triethyl citric acid, -methoxyacetophenone, 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-pyrone, anisaldehyde, benzoic acid)

Use:

Adults, including the elderly: 5 ml (1 full measuring spoon) 3 times a day.

Children and youth:

Children over 12 years of age: 1 full measuring spoon three times a day. Maximum up to 30 ml per day.

Children between 6 and 12 years of age: 2.5 ml three times a day, up to a maximum of 10 ml a day.

Children from 2 to 6 years of age: 1.25 ml three times a day. Up to 5 ml per day.

The preparation is intended for oral use. It does not require dilution.

Important information:

Flegtac Cough is not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Contraindication to the use of the preparation is gastric and duodenal ulcer disease.

It is not suitable for patients with hereditary fructose intolerance and children under 2 years of age.

Due to the fact that it is concentrated, it is easier to give to a child who does not like syrups. At the beginning of the disease, my son had a vomiting effect and he returned every syrup and even antibiotics. Only this syrup could be given and it helped.
