Indications:

GARDAN 500 mg is a preparation intended for use in the treatment of severe pain and fever. It is intended for adults only and is available without a prescription.

Properties:

GARDAN contains the active substance metamizole sodium. It has an analgesic and antipyretic effect. GARDAN is used when other preparations are contraindicated or ineffective. The preparation contains starch. The substance contained in the preparation is the most effective in reducing fever and has a strong analgesic effect.

Composition:

The active substance of the preparation is metamizole sodium.

1 tablet contains 500 mg of metamizole sodium.

other ingredients: wheat starch, microcrystalline cellulose (type 101), povidone K25, talc, magnesium stearate

Use:

GARDAN is to be taken orally with a sufficient amount of water, preferably after a meal.

The tablet can be divided into equal halves.

The recommended dose is: 250 mg - 500 mg 2 to 3 times a day.

The maximum single dose of the preparation  should not exceed 1 g (2 tablets), the maximum daily dose - 3 g (6 tablets).

Do not use the preparation for more than 3 to 5 days.

Important information:

GARDAN should not be used:

- if you are allergic to metamizole sodium or other pyrazolone derivatives, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;

- in asthma caused or exacerbated by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations;

- in case of a hypersensitivity reaction to any non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparation or an analgesic, in particular, manifested by angioedema, urticaria, rhinitis;

- in acute hepatic porphyria;

- in the case of hereditary deficiency of the enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;

- in severe liver or kidney failure;

- in haematological (blood) diseases, including aplastic anemia (reduction in the number of blood cells, leading to fainting, bruising and making infections more likely), agranulocytosis (severe, life-threatening reduction in the number of white blood cells, granulocytes, which increases the risk of serious infections) and leukopenia (decrease in the total number of white blood cells);

- in pregnant or lactating women;

- in children under 18 years of age.

Do not drink alcohol while taking GARDAN. Alcohol can increase the side effects of the preparation.
