Instil-Gial is a clear, colorless, slightly viscous, isotonic, sterile solution containing 40 mg of sodium hyaluronate in 50 ml of phosphate buffered saline.

The active substance is a highly purified sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. Purified sodium hyaluronate is obtained by bacterial fermentation of a strain of streptococci.

For temporary replacement of the GAG ​​layer on the bladder epithelium.

Cystitis (interstitial, bacterial and due to ionizing radiation) when primary treatment is not effective.

Contraindicated in patients with allergies (hypersensitivity) to sodium hyaluronate or any of the ingredients of this product.

Bladder catheterization is contraindicated in patients with confirmed or suspected urethral injury.

Before starting the preparation and administration of Instil-Gial, wash your hands thoroughly, preferably using an antibacterial agent / detergent, and then put on sterile gloves. Be careful and carefully follow the approved bladder catheterization protocol.

Clean the surface of the rubber stopper of the vial with an appropriate antiseptic (70% alcohol or other disinfectant). Do not use disinfectants containing quaternary ammonium salts, as hyaluronic acid may precipitate in their presence. Do not remove the rubber stopper from the vial. Using an appropriately sized sterile syringe, draw up the entire contents of the vial.

After spontaneous urination of the patient, empty the bladder of residual urine by inserting a sterile catheter through the external opening of the urethra and wait for the complete outflow of urine from the bladder.

Through the catheter, inject the entire volume of the solution contained in the pre-filled syringe into the bladder.

For best results, Instil-Gial should be kept in the bladder for as long as possible (minimum 30 minutes).

Contains 40 mg of sodium hyaluronate, sodium chloride, sodium phosphate dehydrates, sodium phosphate heptahydrate, sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid solution and water for injection.
