Dosage

Externally, as an antiseptic for the skin, the solution is undiluted.
For gargling: 10 drops of solution in a glass (200 ml) of water.
For removing plaque from the tonsils: 10 drops per glass (50 ml) of glycerin.
Orally only in doses individually agreed with the doctor.
Dissolve the recommended amount of the preparation in a glass of water, milk or juice to avoid stomach irritation.

Composition

1 g of liquid contains: active substances: iodine 10 mg, potassium iodide 20 mg

indications

- Externally for disinfecting the skin, washing minor cuts and abrasions.
- After dilution with water it is used for gargling.
- After dilution with glycerin for brushing the tonsils.

Contraindications

- May interfere with thyroid function tests. Should not be used with mercury compounds.
- Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to iodine, hyperthyroidism, pulmonary tuberculosis, dermatitis herpetic (Duhring's disease).
- Not suitable for newborns and infants.

Side effects

Irritation of the nasopharyngeal mucosa and rash may occur in people who are hypersensitive to iodine.
