Product description

KreoActiv Digestion ActivLab Pharma is food for special medical purposes in the form of gastro-resistant capsules. The preparation is intended for the dietary management of digestive disorders in the course of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency in children and adults, which is associated with the following diseases:

• cystic fibrosis (cystic fibrosis),
• chronic pancreatitis,
• condition after removal of the pancreas (pancreatectomy),
• condition following removal of the stomach (gastrectomy),
• pancreatic cancer,
• post-gastrointestinal anastomosis, e.g. gastroenterostomy
• narrowing of the pancreatic or common bile duct, e.g. due to cancer),
• Shwachman-Diamond syndrome,
• condition following an attack of acute pancreatitis and initiation of enteral or oral nutrition.

The product contains pancreatin, which is a mixture of animal enzymes obtained from pork pancreas with lipase, amylase and protease activity. After the capsule is dissolved, enzymes with lipolytic, amylolytic and proteolytic properties are released in the small intestine, enabling the digestion of fats, starch and proteins.

Application

Food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of digestive disorders in the course of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency in children and adults.

Recommended intake

Adults and children over 3 years of age: on average, 1 capsule three times a day during main meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) or immediately after a meal.

The method of use should be adapted by the doctor to individual needs depending on the severity of the disease and the composition of the food.

Usage method

It is recommended to take the capsule with or immediately after a meal.

The capsules should be swallowed whole, without chewing, with a sufficient amount of liquid.

Ingredients

Microencapsulated pancreatin, maltodextrin, bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose, anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids, capsule (shell: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, gellan gum).

100 g of the product contains:

• energy value 565 kJ / 133 kcal,
• fat 0 g, including saturated fatty acids 0 g, carbohydrates 33 g, including sugars 0 g, protein 0 g, salt 0 g.

1 gastro-resistant capsule contains:

pancreatin 150 mg with lipase activity of 10,000 Eur. units, amylase 8,000 Eur. units and proteases 600 Eur. units.

Contraindications

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product.

Important tips

The product should be used under medical supervision.

The preparation is not intended for parenteral use.

The product cannot be used as the only source of nourishment.

Do not use in people who do not have the above-mentioned conditions, health disorders or there are no medical indications for its use.

Before starting to use the preparation, read the information on the recommended intake and use provided on the packaging and in the leaflet.

The doctor may recommend the period of taking and a portion of the preparation individually tailored to the dietary needs.

Store at room temperature, in a dry place, in a closed container, out of reach of small children.
