Product description
Lakcid forte is a medicine in the form of hard capsules for oral administration. It contains Lactobacillus rhamnosus strains, which, like other lactic acid bacteria, colonize the intestinal mucosa and normalize the composition of the gastrointestinal microflora, especially after its sterilization as a result of antibiotic therapy. The results of the conducted research confirmed that these strains survive in the gastric juice environment and are resistant to the action of bile salts, which enables them to adapt and survive in the gastrointestinal tract. By competing for substrates and the site of colonization on the intestinal mucosa, and by producing lactic acid as a result of anaerobic decomposition of sugars, they create unfavorable conditions for the development of most pathogenic microorganisms. These strains have natural resistance to a wide range of clinically used antibiotics.
The thermolabile product is a temperature-sensitive preparation and requires special storage conditions. Store it in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions contained in the leaflet or on the product packaging.
Lakcid should be stored in a refrigerator (2-8 ° C). During the validity period, the preparation may be stored for 1 month at 15-25 ° C.

Indications
Post-antibiotic enteritis, with particular emphasis on the supportive treatment of pseudomembranous colitis; as primary treatment for pseudomembranous colitis; the prevention of travelers' diarrhea; supportive treatment during and after antibiotic therapy.
Lakcid forte can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Composition
1 capsule contains:
- minimum 10 billion CFU * Lactobacillus rhamnosus bacilli: Lactobacillus rhamnosus Pen 40%, Lactobacillus rhamnosus E / N 40%, Lactobacillus rhamnosus Oxy 20%. [Rods resistant to: amoxicillin, ampicillin, azlocillin, cefepime, cefotaxime, cefradin, ceftazidime, cefuroxime, doxycycline, erythromycin, gentamicin, imipenem, clindamycin, cloxacillin, cotinicilin, cotinicilin, cotinicilin, colicilin, colicilin, colicilin, colicilin piperacillin, streptomycin, teicoplanin, tobramycin, vancomycin].
- Excipients: skimmed milk, sucrose, colloidal anhydrous silica and magnesium stearate. Capsule shell: titanium dioxide (E 171), hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, chlorophyll copper complex (E 141), sunset yellow (E 110).

Action
Lactobacillus rhamnosus bacteria, like other lactic acid bacteria, colonize the intestinal mucosa and normalize the composition of the gastrointestinal microflora, especially after its sterilization as a result of antibiotic therapy.
Dosage
One dose twice a day (the contents of the capsule or the entire capsule), unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
The medicinal product is administered orally.
The capsule should be swallowed whole with boiled water or milk cooled to room temperature.
When administering the preparation to infants and children, the contents of the capsule (powder) should be dissolved in about 1/8 glass of boiled water or milk cooled to room temperature, and mixed thoroughly.
Contraindications
Allergy to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, including cow's milk protein.
Storage
Store in a refrigerator (2 ° C - 8 ° C).
During the validity period, the product may be stored for 1 month at 15 ° C - 25 ° C.
