Product description

Lakcid Intima is a probiotic vaginal preparation that maintains and restores the normal vaginal flora. The preparation  contains strains of Lactobacillus gasseri DSM 14869 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus DSM 14870. The aluminum container contains 10 vaginal capsules in a cardboard box.

Indications

To maintain or restore normal vaginal flora in women 18 years of age and older.

Composition

1 capsule contains: active substances: Lactobacillus gasseri DSM 14869 rods not less than 10 ^ 8 CFU *, Lactobacillus rhamnosus DSM 14870 rods not less than 10 ^ 8 CFU *. The other ingredients are: lactitol monohydrate, maize starch, xanthan gum, anhydrous glucose, magnesium stearate: capsule shell: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E 171).

* CFU (Colony Forming Unit) - a colony forming unit.

Action

The preparation stops the multiplication of pathological bacteria and yeasts and restores the normal bacterial flora of the vagina.

Dosage

Prophylactically, immediately after menstruation: one capsule a day (at bedtime) for 4-6 days, vaginally. After antibiotic therapy: one capsule a day (at bedtime) for 6-8 days, vaginally. If you use more Lakcid Intima than you should. There is no information on overdose of the preparation.

Contraindications

Allergy to active substances or any of the other ingredients of the preparation, antibiotic therapy, pregnancy, be especially careful when using the preparation if there is a severe disorder of the immune system.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients of the preparation, you may experience a burning sensation at the injection site. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist, including any side effects not listed in this leaflet. Side effects can also be reported to the Marketing Authorization Holder.

Interactions

Lakcid Intima should not be used during antibiotic treatment as Lactobacillus gasseri DSM 14869 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus DSM 14870 are sensitive to antibiotics. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the preparations you are taking or have recently taken, and about any preparations you plan to take.

Warnings and Precautions

Take special care with Lakcid Intima if: you have a severe disorder of the immune system. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Lakcid Intima. There is no information on overdose of the preparation.
