Langes oral solution is used for the following indications:

• treatment of symptoms of disorders of bronchial secretion and sputum excretion, especially in acute bronchopulmonary diseases, for example, in acute bronchitis;
• with exacerbations of chronic diseases of the respiratory system.

Structure

Active substance: carbocisteine;

1 ml of the preparation contains 50 mg of carbocisteine;

Excipients: sodium saccharin, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), raspberry flavor, sodium hydroxide, sodium carmellose, purified water.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to carbocisteine ​​or to any components of the preparation, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute phase.

Mode of application

Apply internally.

The maximum single dose for children under 15 years of age should not exceed 100 mg (2 ml).

The duration of treatment should not exceed 8-10 days.

Pregnant

The use of the preparation in the first trimester of pregnancy is contraindicated. In the II-III trimester of pregnancy or during lactation, the preparation should be used only under medical supervision if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus / child.

Children

The preparation should be used in children aged 2 years and older. Children should be treated under medical supervision.

Overdose

In case of an overdose, stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea may occur.

Treatment is symptomatic. In case of overdose, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

Side effects

From the gastrointestinal tract: indigestion, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea.

From the nervous system: dizziness, weakness, malaise.

Allergic reactions: in rare cases - itching, urticaria, rash, angioedema (can be removed in time).

Interaction

During the period of treatment, antitussives and agents that suppress bronchial secretion should not be used. Increases the effectiveness of glucocorticoid (mutually) and antibacterial therapy.
