Product description

Lirra Gem is an antiallergy medicine.

Dosage

Do not use the preparationfor more than 10 days without consulting a doctor.

The recommended dose for adults and children 6 years of age and older is one tablet (5 mg) a day. Lirra Gem should be swallowed whole with water. The preparation can be taken with or without food.

Composition

The active substance is levocetirizine dihydrochloride.

Each film-coated tablet contains 5 mg of levocetirizine dihydrochloride.

The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, hypromellose (E 464), titanium dioxide (E 171) and macrogol 400.

Lirra Gem contains lactose monohydrate.

Indications

Lirra Gem is used to treat symptoms related to:

allergic rhinitis (including chronic allergic rhinitis),.

hives.

Contraindications

Do not use the preparation if:

if you are allergic to levocetirizine dihydrochloride, antihistamines or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

if you have severe renal impairment (severe renal failure with creatinine clearance less than 10 ml / min),

if you are intolerant to some sugars.

Side effects

Some patients may feel sleepy, tired and exhausted while taking Lirra Gem. If you are about to drive a car, engage in other potentially hazardous activities or use machines, you should not do these activities until you know how you react to the medicine.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common side effects (occurring in less than 10 out of 100 patients):

• dry mouth, headache, fatigue, sleepiness

Uncommon side effects (occurring in less than 10 out of 1,000 patients):

• feeling exhausted, abdominal pain

Very rare side effects (affects less than 1 in 10,000 patients):

• palpitations, seizures, tingling sensation, dizziness, fainting, tremor, altered taste sensation, spinning sensation (vertigo), visual disturbances (such as blurred vision), painful or difficult urination, inability to completely empty the bladder, swelling ( water retention causing swelling), itching (itching), rash and hives (swelling, redness and itching of the skin), eczema (eruptions), shortness of breath, weight gain, muscle aches, aggressive behavior or agitation, insomnia, recurrent thoughts of suicide, inflammation liver or liver problems (the skin or whites of the eyes may turn yellow), increase in appetite, nausea

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Store at room temperature up to 25 degrees C.

Use of other medications

Tell your doctor about all the medications you are taking, now or recently, and about any medications you plan to use.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Use of the preparation in children and adolescents

Lirra Gem is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
