Medgenix Benelux

Medgenix Benelux n.v. is a Belgian company that is part of the Omega Pharma group, it has various activities within the pharmaceutical and cosmetic sector.

Medgenix Benelux is the registration holder of approximately 20 medicines that are distributed by Omega Pharma to wholesalers and pharmacists in Belgium. Most of these products are produced in our factory in Wevelgem.

Medgenix Benelux employs 105 people in the production of mainly biocides, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products in liquid and semi-solid forms: syrups, solutions for internal use, anti-lice shampoos, creams, ointments, gels, emulsions, powder mixtures and cosmetic shampoos , lotions, creams and liquid soaps.

The current production capacity of Medgenix Benelux is for ± 80 % based on export (production for Omega Pharma subsidiaries and contract manufacturing). ± 20% of the manufactured products go to the Belgian market (Own brands and contract manufacturing).

The total surface area was ± 4,000 m2 when it was founded in 1986. In 1997 an extension of the warehouse of ± 1,650 m2 was added. The available land on which to build has an area of ​​± 11,800 m2. The company consists of one building with a built-up area of ​​5,650 m2.

Medgenix Benelux has production tanks with a capacity of up to 15,000 L, ointment reactors, an explosion-proof working environment, filling and packaging lines for volumes from 10 ml to 5 L and an adapted warehouse, all in a GMP controlled environment.

The company is located in an industrial area near Kortrijk and the French border, approximately 30 km from Lille (France), 55 km from Ghent, 110 km from Antwerp and Brussels and 70 km from the Belgian coast.
