Powder for oral solution Multigrip Broncho - treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the bronchopulmonary system, accompanied by increased production of sputum.

Structure

Active ingredient: acetylcysteine.

1 sachet contains 600 mg of acetylcysteine.

Excipients: aspartame (E 951), beta-carotene 1% (CWS), orange essence, sorbitol (E 420).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine ​​or to any of the excipients of the preparation.

Peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the acute stage, hemoptysis, pulmonary hemorrhage.

Since the preparation contains aspartame as a sweetener, it should not be used in patients with phenylketonuria.

Mode of application

For adults and children over 14 years old. Dissolve the content of 1 sachet in 1/2 glass of water. Take 1 sachet per day.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually, depending on the nature of the disease (acute or chronic).

When dissolving acetylcysteine, it is necessary to use glassware, avoid contact with metal and rubber surfaces.

It is not recommended to dissolve acetylcysteine ​​in one glass with other preparations.

Overdose

There are no data on cases of overdose of oral dosage forms of acetylcysteine.

The volunteers took 11.6 g of acetylcysteine ​​per day for three months without any serious side effects.

Acetylcysteine, when taken at a dose of 500 mg / kg / day, does not cause an overdose.

Side effects

In very rare cases, skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome and Lyell's syndrome have been reported in connection with the intake of acetylcysteine. In most cases, at least one other preparation may be more likely to cause mucocutaneous syndrome. Therefore, if any new changes appear on the skin or mucous membranes, you should consult a doctor and immediately stop taking acetylcysteine.

There have been cases of decreased platelet aggregation, but the clinical significance of this has not been determined.

Preparations that increase mucus production should not be used with cough suppressants.

Interaction

Interaction studies on levocetirizine (including studies with CYP3A4 inducers) have not been conducted. Studies on cetirizine (racemate) have shown that concomitant use with antipyrine, azithromycin, cimetidine, diazepam, erythromycin, glipizide, ketoconazole or pseudoephedrine has no clinically significant adverse interactions. With simultaneous use with theophylline (400 mg / day), there was a slight decrease (by 16%) in the total clearance of levocetirizine (the distribution of theophylline did not change).

In a study of repeated administration of ritonavir (600 mg 2 times a day) and cetirizine (10 mg per day), the degree of exposure to cetirizine increased by about 40%, while the distribution of ritonavir slightly changed (-11%) before the parallel use of cetirizine.

Food intake does not affect the degree of absorption of the preparation, but the simultaneous consumption of food reduces the rate of absorption.

Concomitant use of cetirizine or levocetirizine and alcohol or other central nervous system depressants in vulnerable patients may cause an additional decrease in alertness and ability to perform work.
