Indications:

skin and mucous membrane infections caused by herpes simplex virus type I (labial herpes) or type II (genital herpes) and chickenpox and herpes zoster. Other infections caused by viruses (e.g. subacute sclerosing encephalitis, a complication of measles). Supportively in people with reduced immunity in the case of recurrent upper respiratory tract infections.

Composition:

The active substance is inosine pranobex (a complex containing inosine and 4-hydroxypropyl dimethylammonium acetamidobenzoate in a 1: 3 molar ratio). The other ingredients are: methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, sucrose, sodium saccharin, anhydrous citric acid, sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol, AR 0010 banana flavor, purified water.

Action:

Neosine forte is an antiviral preparation that increases the body's immunity (stimulates the immune system).

Dosage:

Adults, including the elderly (over 65 years of age): 0.5 ml syrup per kg body weight per day (usually 10 ml syrup 3 or 4 times a day). Children over 1 year of age: 0.5 ml syrup per kg body weight per day. For dosing, use the measuring cup provided in the medicine package. This allows you to measure the exact dose. Your doctor will determine how long to take your medicine for. Treatment usually lasts from 5 to 14 days. It is recommended that after the symptoms of the disease disappear, take the preparation  for another 1 to 2 days. In children and adolescents with reduced immunity: The preparation should be used 10 days a month, for the next 3 months.

Contraindications:

if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine; if you currently have a gout attack or high blood uric acid levels.
