Indications and action

The preparation is indicated for use in adults and children over 1 year of age.

Supportive in people with reduced immunity, in the case of recurrent infections of the upper respiratory tract.

For the treatment of cold sores on the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus. Neosine plus should only be used in patients with a history of herpes simplex infection.

The preparation is used in the states of increased demand for zinc, occurring in the above-mentioned indications. If, after 5 to 14 days, there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, see your doctor.

Composition

1 tablet contains 500 mg of inosine pranobex (Inosinum Pranobexum) and 3.125 mg of zinc ions in the form of zinc gluconate (Zinci gluconas).

Dosage

The recommended dose of inosine pranobex is 50 mg per kg of body weight per day.

Adults, including the elderly (over 65 years of age): Usually 2 tablets 3 times a day. Do not take more than 8 tablets a day. The maximum dose is 4 g of inosine pranobex per day.

Children over 1 year of age: The recommended dose of inosine pranobex is 50 mg per kg of body weight per day, given in several divided doses. Children who are unable to swallow tablets are advised to administer the preparation in syrup

Method of administration: The tablet should be washed down with plenty of liquid, preferably water. If you have difficulty swallowing the whole tablet, you can crush the tablet and dissolve it in a little water to make it easier to take.

Contraindications

If you are allergic to the active substances (inosine pranobex or zinc gluconate) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Symptoms of an allergic reaction may include skin rash, itching, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue;

if you currently have a gout attack (severe joint pain with swelling and redness of the skin, or there is fluid in the large joints) or tests have shown increased levels of uric acid in the blood.
