Product description

Cream "Onabet" is used for the local treatment of fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes and yeast fungi: epidermophytosis of the feet, inguinal epidermophytosis, ringworm of smooth skin, trichophytosis of the beard and mustache area, ringworm of the hands, candidiasis, pityriasis versicolor.

Compound

The active ingredient is sertaconazole (1 g of cream contains sertaconazole nitrate 20 mg).

Excipients: cetyl alcohol, myristilovium stearyl alcohol, glycerin monostearate, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, octyldodecanol, lung mineral oil, benzyl alcohol, purified water.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to sertaconazole or to any antifungal derivatives of the imidazole group in history or to any other component of the preparation.

Mode of application

The cream should be applied 1 or 2 times a day (preferably at night or in the morning and evening) in a thin layer gently and evenly on the affected skin area, trying to capture approximately 1 cm of healthy skin around the affected area.

The duration of treatment depends on the etiology of the pathogen and the location of the infection.

Generally, approximately 4 weeks of treatment is recommended to achieve microbiologically negative clinical remission and to prevent relapse, but in many cases clinical recovery occurs sooner between the second and fourth weeks.

The effect of sertaconazole on newborns or pregnant women has not been studied, therefore, before prescribing the preparation during pregnancy and lactation, it is necessary to evaluate the benefit-risk ratio for the woman and the fetus / child.

There are no data on the use of the preparation in pediatrics.

Overdose

Taking into account the concentration of the active substance and the recommended route of administration, intoxication is unlikely. However, in case of accidental ingestion of the preparation, it is necessary to apply appropriate symptomatic therapy.

Side effects

The preparation showed good tolerance when applied to both intact and damaged skin. Contact dermatitis (dry skin, burning, itching, urticaria) may appear locally. Possible hypersensitivity reactions, local transient erythematous reactions that do not require discontinuation of the preparation.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach of children. Do not freeze.

Shelf life - 2 years.
