Enzyme preparation for replacement therapy. pancreatic enzymes (amylase, lipase and protease), which are included in its composition, ensure the digestion of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, which contributes to their more complete absorption in the small intestine. in diseases of the pancreas, the preparation compensates for the insufficiency of its exocrine function and helps to improve the digestion process. tablets have a protective coating that does not dissolve in the acidic environment of the stomach, which prevents the destruction of digestive enzymes under the action of gastric juice.

Insufficiency of the exocrine function of the pancreas (chronic pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, etc.), chronic inflammatory-dystrophic diseases of the stomach, intestines, liver, gall bladder, the condition after resection or irradiation of these organs, accompanied by indigestion, flatulence, diarrhea (as part of the combined therapy), to improve food digestion in patients with normal gastrointestinal tract function in cases of nutritional deficiencies, as well as disorders of the masticatory apparatus, forced long-term immobilization, sedentary lifestyle, preparation for X-ray and ultrasound examination of abdominal organs.

To be taken internally during or immediately after a meal, the tablets should be swallowed whole, without chewing, with plenty of liquid (water, fruit juices). The dosage of the preparation is based on the individual needs of the patient and depends on his age, the degree of indigestion and the composition of the food.

It is recommended to take 1-2 tablets (14000-28000 MO of lipase) during each meal. However, it is possible that some patients may need to increase the dose by 1.5-2 times or even more to eliminate steatorrhea and maintain proper nutritional status. It is not recommended to exceed a dose of 15,000-20,000 MO of lipase/kg of body weight/day.

The duration of treatment can vary from a few days (in the case of digestive disorders due to the consumption of excessive amounts of food) to several months or even years (in the case of the need for permanent replacement therapy).

Acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis in the stage of exacerbation, hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.

When used in average therapeutic doses, the side effect is noted in less than 1% of cases. in some cases - diarrhea, constipation, discomfort in the stomach, nausea, allergic reactions. with long-term use of the preparation in high doses, the development of hyperuricosuria is possible, in excessively high doses - an increase in the level of uric acid in the blood plasma. when using pancreatin-t in high doses in children, irritation of the skin of the perianal area is possible.

In case of cystic fibrosis, the dose of pancreatin-zt should be adequate to the amount of enzymes required for the absorption of fats, taking into account the quality and quantity of food consumed. with cystic fibrosis, the preparation should not be prescribed in a dose of more than 10,000 units / kg per day (in terms of lipase) due to an increased risk of strictures (fibrous colonopathy) in the ileocecal department and ascending colon. the safety of using pancreatin-zt during pregnancy has not been studied enough. its use is possible in cases where the expected benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus. It has been experimentally established that pancreatin-zt does not have a teratogenic effect.

Pancreatin-zt does not contain components that cause intoxication. in case of allergic reactions, the preparation is canceled and standard therapy is carried out.
