Symptomatic treatment of colds.

The active substance is pelargonium root dry extract (Pelargonii radicis extractum siccum). 2.5 ml of the syrup contains 20 mg of dry extract (4-25: 1) of Pelargonium sidoides DS and / or Pelargonium reniforme Curt., Radix (pelargonium root). Extraction solvent: ethanol 11% (m / m). The other ingredients are: maltodextrin, liquid maltilol (E965), liquid sorbitol, non-crystallising (E420), potassium sorbate (E202), citric acid (E330), purified water.

Relief of symptoms of colds.

Adolescents over 12 years of age, adults and the elderly: 2.5 ml of syrup 3 times a day; children from 6 to 11 years of age: 2.5 ml of syrup twice a day. Pelafen syrup contains a measuring cup.

Hypersensitivity to the active substance (pelargonium root extract) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. It is not recommended for use in children under 6 years of age. If the patient is pregnant, suspects that she may be pregnant, is breastfeeding or is planning to have a baby, she should consult her doctor before taking this medicine. The drug contains 893 mg of maltitol (E965) in a single dose of 2.5 ml. If you have an intolerance to some sugars, consult your doctor before taking the drug. The drug contains 625.1 mg of sorbitol (E420) in a single dose (2.5 ml). Sorbitol is a source of fructose. If you (or your child) have known intolerance to some sugars or hereditary fructose intolerance, please contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
