Dietary supplement Polifer  with microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 is an innovative source of iron, easily absorbed, presented in the form of a complex of liposomes. The patented technology avoids the side effects common with iron supplementation, namely regurgitation, unstable stools, staining of the oral mucosa and tooth enamel. Polifer ® is non-toxic, therefore it can be recommended in all cases of iron deficiency, including during pregnancy and lactation. Liposomal iron in the gastrointestinal tract is surrounded by liposomes, which in the small intestine bind to chylomicrons and are transported first to the lymphatic system, and from there enter the hepatic bloodstream, resulting in high bioavailability of iron at low doses of Polifer ®. Thanks to liposome technology, the bioavailability of iron in the product increases by 3.5 times compared to the same amount of iron, it is not included in the structure of liposomes. Liposomal iron has almost 100% bioavailability.

Active ingredients

Iron pyrophosphate microencapsulated in liposomal form. Iron is involved in the synthesis of hemoglobin and myoglobin, catalase and peroxidase; participation in direct and indirect oxidative processes (included in 72 enzymes), ensuring the normal functioning of the immune system. Iron pyrophosphate is a water-soluble micronized source of iron that has been formulated to enhance iron absorption and reduce unwanted organoleptic symptoms. Thanks to the innovative microencapsulated technology, microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate provides adequate iron levels without any unpleasant side effects such as heartburn, diarrhea, constipation and nausea.

Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin). It is part of some enzymes. Activates protein metabolism, participates in the biosynthesis of methionine, nucleic acids, affects carbohydrate and fat metabolism; participates in hematopoiesis. With its lack, anemia develops. Vitamin B12 has antianemic, hepatoprotective, hypocholesterolemic effects, and also activates the blood coagulation system. In a growing body, it promotes the synthesis of fats, in an adult - their utilization. It is found in significant quantities in the liver, kidneys, fish products, eggs, soy. In industry, they are obtained by microbiological synthesis. Application: chronic anemia accompanied by vitamin B12 deficiency, traumatic injuries and inflammation, diabetic neuropathy, skin diseases, traumatic bone injuries and post-surgical conditions.

Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine hydrochloride). Refers to pyridine derivatives. In tissues, it is converted into pyridoxal phosphate - a coenzyme that is mainly involved in the synthesis and cleavage of amino acids, which are a constituent of proteins. An insufficient amount of vitamin B6 causes dermatitis, convulsions, anemia in animals and humans. An increased need for vitamin B6 can occur during periods of growth and pregnancy. Vitamin B6 has cardiotonic, hepatoprotective, neurotrophic effects. In phosphorylated form, it is a part of enzymes involved in decarboxylation processes, amino acid transamination, as well as in fat metabolism. It is necessary for the normal functioning of the central nervous system. It is used for hypo- and avitaminosis B6, toxicosis of pregnant women, anemia, leukopenia, parkinsonism, radiculitis, neuritis, neuralgia, liver diseases, sea and air diseases, atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus.

Potassium sorbate. The potassium salt of sorbic acid is a natural preservative and is widely used in food preservation.

In 1939 and 1940, E. Mueller (Germany) and CM Gooding (US) discovered the antimicrobial properties of sorbic acid. Subsequently in 1945 Gooding and Best Foods Inc. Sorbic acid was first patented as a fungistatic (antifungal) food supplement.

Treatment with a 10-20% solution of potassium sorbate inhibits the growth of mold fungi on hard sausages, frankfurters and wieners. The total acceptable daily dose for sorbic acid, calcium sorbate, potassium sorbate, sodium sorbate is up to 25 mg / kg of body weight. Potassium sorbate is one of the safest preservatives when used in recommended doses. The compound has no carcinogenic or mutagenic properties. Allowed in Ukraine and European countries.

Recommendations for use

It is recommended to use it as an additional source of iron, vitamins B6 and B12 for people with anemia and an increased need for iron: children, adolescents, vegetarians, elderly people, during active sports.

Method of administration and dosage

Shake well before use. Take for children from 3 to 6 years old, 14-16 drops per day, for children from 6 to 18 years old, 16-18 drops per day. Draw up the recommended daily dose with a graduated pipette. Take undiluted, or you can dilute the drops in half a glass of water or fruit juice.

The duration of application of Polifer ® is 2-3 months. If necessary, the course is continued on the recommendation of a doctor until the hemoglobin level is normalized.

Attention: for pregnant women and women during lactation, use as directed by a doctor (the daily dose is determined by the doctor).

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the components of the product; children under 3 years of age (since the preservative is potassium sorbate); persons with impaired iron utilization mechanisms (lead anemia, sideroblastic anemia); anemia not associated with iron deficiency (hemolytic anemia, megaloblastic anemia).
