Indications:

A preparation used for the symptomatic treatment of heartburn and acid reflux in adults.

Properties:

Reflux is the backflow of acid from the stomach into the gullet, which can become inflamed and painful. This can cause symptoms such as a burning pain in the chest rising up to the throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation). It may be necessary to take the capsules for 2-3 consecutive days for symptom relief.

The capsules must not be chewed or crushed. This is because the capsules contain pellets which help to stop the medicine from being broken down by the acid in your stomach. It is important that the pellets are not damaged. These pellets contain the active ingredient omeprazole and are sealed in the stomach so that it can be absorbed from the gut. The pellets release the active ingredient in the gut, where it is absorbed and then working.

Dosage:

1 capsule once a day for 14 days. It is recommended to take the capsules in the morning. The capsules can be taken with or on an empty stomach. The capsules must not be chewed or crushed.

Composition:

The active substance is omeprazole. Each capsule contains gastro-resistant pellets containing 20 mg of omeprazole. The other ingredients are: sucrose, grains (sucrose and corn starch), sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), sodium laurilsulfate, povidone K30, potassium oleate, hypromellose, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer (1: 1), triethyl citrate, titanium dioxide (E 171), talc. The composition of the capsule cap: erythrosine (E 127), titanium dioxide (E 171), gelatin, indigo carmine (E 132). The composition of the capsule body: erythrosine (E 127), quinoline yellow (E 104), titanium dioxide (E 171), gelatin. Ink composition: shellac, anhydrous ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol, n-butanol, povidone, sodium hydroxide, titanium dioxide (E 171).
