Indications
Polygynax
Treatment of vaginitis caused by susceptible organisms, including:
- bacterial vaginitis caused by banal pyogenic microflora;
- recurrent nonspecific vaginitis;
- vaginitis caused by fungi of the genus Candida;
- vaginitis caused by mixed infection.
In order to prevent infectious complications, Poligynax is recommended to be used before any surgical intervention on the genitals, before abortion, when installing an intrauterine system, before and after diathermocoagulation of the cervix, before intrauterine and intraurethral examinations, before childbirth.
Polygynax Virgo
- Treatment of vaginitis, vulvovaginitis, bacterial, fungal or mixed cervicitis, which are caused by flora sensitive to the components of the preparation, in virgins.
Application
Polygynax for adults is prescribed intravaginally 1 capsule per day in the evening before bedtime. course of treatment - 12 days. prophylactic course - 6 days. the preparation can be used during menstruation.
Poligynax Virgo is prescribed 1 capsule in the evening before bedtime for 6 days in a row. It is necessary to incise the pointed end of the capsule with scissors and insert the contents of the capsule intravaginally. Do not stop treatment during menstruation.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.
Side effects
When using the preparation in recommended doses, the risk of side effects is minimal. side effects of aminoglycosides are noted very rarely with vaginal use. with local application of the preparation, allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock, urticaria), local irritation reactions and contact dermatitis occur in some cases.
special instructions
In order to avoid the transmission of the disease, the patient must be warned about the use of certain personal hygiene products (washcloth, towel, etc.), wearing underwear made from natural cotton, during treatment, one should not use hygienic tampons, do not use contraceptive caps and latex condoms and spermicides.
To prevent re-infection, simultaneous treatment of the sexual partner is necessary.
Use during pregnancy and lactation. In clinical practice, no teratogenic and fetotoxic effects of Polygynax have been noted. Pregnancy monitoring to investigate all possible side effects is not sufficient to eliminate all risks.
Therefore, use during pregnancy is possible only as directed by a doctor in cases where the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus / child.
If necessary, the use of the preparation during lactation, breastfeeding is stopped.

Interactions
The preparation may inhibit the action of local spermicidal contraceptives. it must be borne in mind that polygynax, when used simultaneously with a latex condom, increases the risk of rupture of the latter.
