Rectal suppositories Proctosan Neo are indicated for the symptomatic treatment of hemorrhoids and itching in the perianal region for a short period of time.

Compound

Active ingredients: sodium heparin, prednisolone acetate, polidocanol;

1 suppository contains heparin sodium 120 IU prednisolone acetate 1.675 mg polidocanol 30 mg;

Excipients: medium chain triglycerides, colloidal silicon dioxide, solid fat, glycerol tristearate.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation infection in the perianal region; bleeding tendency; specific skin lesions (eg syphilis); genital herpes; other viral infections; secondary skin infections in the absence of appropriate antibiotic therapy.

Mode of application

Apply topically.

Suppositories should be administered 1 time per day after bowel movement into the rectum. With severe symptoms, 1 suppository can be administered 2-3 times only during the first day of treatment.

The duration of therapy should not exceed 7 days. If there is no improvement, it is necessary to investigate the causes that led to the onset of the symptoms.

The preparation should not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy. Caution is recommended when used in late pregnancy (II-III trimester).

Overdose

With local application of the preparation, in the systemic circulation, it can be found in relatively low concentrations, one should not expect any toxic effects.

Side effects

Usually, the preparation is well tolerated, only in rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions and local skin irritation can occur (there is a slight possibility of allergic reactions to polidocanol).

Long-term use can lead to delayed healing of wounds and fissures and systemic action of prednisolone.

Interaction

It is not recommended to use in conjunction with other preparations for rectal administration.
