Pharmacological properties

The main active ingredients - sage extract and oil - have a pronounced anti-inflammatory, disinfectant, astringent and expectorant effect. Vitamin C helps to increase immunity, which is important for colds. Sage extract with vitamin c, other taiss disinfects the oral cavity and nasopharynx, promotes sputum discharge and quick recovery from colds, infectious diseases of the upper respiratory tract, which are accompanied by cough.

Indications

As part of the complex therapy of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by cough, diseases of the oral mucosa and pharynx: stomatitis, gingivitis, pharyngitis.

Application

Adults and children over the age of 4 years 1 tablet 3-4 times a day, slowly dissolving in the mouth.

The course of treatment is determined by the doctor depending on the course of the disease.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. children under 4 years of age.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible, including skin rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema, and sometimes anaphylactic shock in the presence of sensitization.

Special instructions

Since the preparation contains ascorbic acid, albeit in small quantities, it is used with caution in patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, a tendency to thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, diabetes mellitus, and severe kidney disease.

Information for patients with diabetes mellitus: 1 tablet contains 2.34 g of carbohydrates.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding. There is insufficient research on the use of this preparation during pregnancy and lactation. Therefore, the preparation is not recommended to be taken during pregnancy and lactation.

Children. It is not recommended to take the preparation for children under 4 years of age.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles or other mechanisms. Not expected.

Interactions

Taking sage preparations can affect the effectiveness of preparations acting through gamka receptors (barbiturates, benzodiazepines), simultaneous use with such preparations is not recommended.

The absorption of ascorbic acid is reduced with the simultaneous use of oral contraceptives, the use of fruit or vegetable juices, and alkaline drinks.

Oral ascorbic acid increases the absorption of penicillin, tetracycline, iron, increases the risk of crystalluria during treatment with salicylates.

Overdose

There are no reports of an overdose of the preparation. however, with excessive intake of sage preparations, gastrointestinal disturbances are not excluded.
