Aerosol for inhalation, metered dose Seretide ™ Evohaler ™ is used for the treatment of bronchial asthma in patients who are indicated for combination therapy with a long-acting β2-agonist and an inhaled corticosteroid:

• patients with poor control of bronchial asthma during therapy with inhaled corticosteroids and short-acting β2-agonists on demand;
• patients with adequate control of bronchial asthma during therapy with inhaled corticosteroids and long-acting β2-agonists in various inhalers.

Compound

1 dose contains 25 mcg of salmeterol (in the form of salmeterol xinafoate) and 250 mcg of fluticasone propionate;

excipients: propellant HFA 134a.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.

Mode of application

Recommended doses.

Adults and adolescents over the age of 12: 2 inhalations of 25 mcg salmeterol / 250 mcg fluticasone propionate 2 times a day.

For the treatment of adults and adolescents with moderate persistent bronchial asthma (daily symptom onset, daily use of moderate to severe rapid relief and airflow restriction) Seretide ™ Evohaler ™ can be used as a starting maintenance therapy if rapid symptom control is desired. In such cases, the preparation is recommended to be used in a starting dose of 2 inhalations of 25 μg salmeterol / 50 μg fluticasone propionate 2 times a day. After achieving control of the symptoms of bronchial asthma, the possibility of reducing the volume of therapy by a step down and prescribing only inhaled corticosteroids should be considered.

Children 4-12 years old: 2 inhalations of 25 mcg salmeterol / 250 mcg fluticasone propionate twice a day.

The maximum daily dose of fluticasone propionate in Seretide ™ Evohaler ™ is 100 mcg 2 times a day.

Seretide ™ Evohaler ™ should be used by pregnant women only when the expected benefit significantly outweighs the potential risks to the fetus.

The risk to the infant from breastfeeding while the mother is being treated with this preparation cannot be ruled out.

Children

There is no data on the use of the preparation Seretide ™ Evohaler ™ in children under 4 years of age.
