Product description

Smectalia is an antidiarrheal preparation that is used to treat infectious and inflammatory bowel diseases. Short-term treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and children over 15 years of age, in addition to diet.

Compound

1 bag of diosmectite (dioctahedral smectite) 3 g;

excipients: xanthan gum; citric acid monohydrate, ascorbic acid; potassium sorbate; sucralose; cocoa caramel flavoring (a mixture of natural and synthetic flavors, sugar color (E 150d), sugar caramelized syrup, propylene glycol (E 1520), water, ethanol, caffeine) purified water.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in the "Composition" section.

Mode of application

Dosage

1 sachet (diosmectite, 3 g) followed by another 1 sachet after each unformed stool; however, no more than 6 sachets per day.

The maximum duration of treatment is 3 days.

Mode of application

It is recommended to knead the contents of the sachet with your fingers before opening, bringing it to a liquid state. The contents of the sachet can be swallowed diluted or mixed with a little water and drunk.

It is advisable to use the preparation separately from food.

Application features

Diosmectite should be used with caution in patients with a history of severe chronic constipation.

Pregnant

It is not recommended to use the preparation Smectalia during pregnancy.

Children

Use to treat children over 15 years of age.

Drivers

Smectalia does not affect or has little effect on the ability to drive vehicles and work with other mechanisms.

Overdose

Overdose can lead to increased side effects, constipation.

Side effects

From the gastrointestinal tract: constipation, vomiting.

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: rash, urticaria, angioedema, itching.

From the immune system: hypersensitivity.
