Thioctacid 600 T is a preparation that affects the digestive system and metabolic processes.

For the treatment of symptoms of peripheral (sensorimotor) diabetic polyneuropathy.

Compound

1 ampoule of solution contains 952.29 mg trometamol salt of α-lipoic (thioctic) acid (equivalent to 600 mg of α-lipoic (thioctic) acid);

other ingredients: trometamol, water for injection.

Contraindications

Thioctacid 600 T is absolutely contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to thioctic acid or to other constituents of the preparation.

Mode of application

Doses and duration of treatment are set individually.

In the presence of symptoms of peripheral (sensorimotor) diabetic polyneuropathy, the recommended daily dose for adults is 24 ml of solution for injection (corresponding to 600 mg of thioctic acid per day) intravenously.

Intravenous administration can be done without dilution using an injection syringe for at least 12 minutes.

Application features

With parenteral administration of Thioctacid 600 T, hypersensitivity reactions of varying severity to anaphylactic shock were observed. Thus, during treatment with the preparation, patients should be under the supervision of a physician. If the first signs appear (such as itching, nausea, weakness, etc.), you should immediately stop treatment and, if necessary, provide appropriate assistance.

Pregnant

The use of thioctic acid during pregnancy is not recommended due to the lack of relevant clinical data.

Children

Do not use for children.

Drivers

Thioctacid 600 T does not have any effect or has a slight effect on the reaction rate when driving or operating other mechanisms.

Overdose

In case of overdose, nausea, vomiting and headaches may occur.

Side effects

Storage conditions

Store in cardboard packaging to protect the solution from light at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.

A light-protected solution for infusion, diluted in saline, is suitable for 6 hours.
