Triovit® capsules contain antioxidant vitamins: C (ascorbic acid), E (alpha-tocopherol acetate), betacarotene (provitamin A) and the microelement selenium. Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Betacarotene protect cells and body tissues from free radical damage.

Active substances

Betacarotene is a precursor (provitamin) of vitamin A. As a biological antioxidant, it protects cell membrane lipids and other substances from oxidation by free radicals. In the chain of reactions of free radicals, in addition to other products, an active singlet form of oxygen is formed, and beta-carotene converts it into a more stable triplet form.

Vitamin E acts as a biological antioxidant in the lipophilic environment of the cell and protects cell membrane lipids and other substances (enzymes, DNA) from oxidation by free radicals. In this case, a more stable tocopheryl radical is formed, which is then converted back to tocopherol by the action of ascorbic acid or enzymes.

Vitamin C acts as a biological antioxidant in the hydrophilic environment of the cell. It neutralizes free radicals. In this case, more stable ascorbic radicals are formed, which are then converted in various ways and with the help of glutathione peroxidase back to ascorbic acid and dihydroascorbic acid. Vitamin C, along with vitamin E, prevents the formation of toxic nitrosamines from N-nitroso compounds contained in food.

The trace element selenium is a component of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which removes peroxides and free radicals from the cell. Glutathione peroxidase catalyzes the reduction of hydrogen peroxide and some other hydroxyl peroxides, and protects cells from oxidative damage along with other antioxidants.

Recommendations for use

Deficiency of vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene and selenium in food.

Increased need for vitamins and selenium with:

• living in regions with an unfavorable environmental situation, in particular, large cities and large industrial centers;
• increased physical and mental stress;
• nicotine addiction;
• increased exposure to active solar radiation.

Composition

BetaTab 20% S - 50.0 mg *

Selenium-containing yeast 2000 - 25.0 mg **

Ascorbic acid - 100.0 mg ***

Alpha-tocopherol acetate 50% - 80.0 mg ****

Excipients: talc, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.

* 50.0 mg BetaTaba 20% S (composition: betacarotene - 10.0 mg, corn starch - 10.25 mg, DL-alpha-tocopherol - 0.75 mg, sodium ascorbate - 1.0 mg, glucose syrup (dextrose liquid - dextrose, oligosaccharides and polysaccharides) - 3.0 mg, modified starch - 25.0 mg).

** 25.0 mg of selenium-containing yeast 2000 corresponds to 50.0 μg of selenium in combination with yeast.

*** ascorbic acid (100.0 mg) in the form of coated ascorbic acid, type EC (102.56 mg), (composition: ascorbic acid, ethylcellulose).

**** 80.0 mg of alpha-tocopherol acetate 50% corresponds to 40.0 mg of alpha-tocopherol acetate (composition: alpha-tocopherol acetate, silicon dioxide, corn starch).

Empty capsule composition:

Cap: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171), quinoline yellow dye (E104), azorubin dye (E122).

Mode of application

Recommended to be taken after meals with a little water.

Recommended dosage:

adults and children over 15 years old - 1-2 capsules 1 time per day.

children from 10 to 15 years old - one capsule once a day (as recommended by a doctor).

The course of admission is 2 months.

Repeated courses of admission - on the recommendation of a doctor.

Precautionary measures

Take with caution in children aged 10 to 15 years.

The use of capsules during pregnancy and lactation is possible if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus and child.

Side effects - yellowing of the skin, discoloration of urine, feeling of heaviness in the stomach, flatulence, allergic reactions (including bronchial asthma, bronchospasm), urticaria.

Large doses (more than 15 capsules per day) can cause nausea and discoloration of the skin and nails (in this case, the preparation should be discontinued, treatment is symptomatic).

In rare cases, allergic reactions (including bronchial asthma) to individual components of the preparation are possible, requiring discontinuation of the preparation and seeking medical attention.

When taking capsules on an empty stomach, you may experience a feeling of heaviness in the stomach or flatulence.

Before the simultaneous use of other vitamin, vitamin-mineral or mineral preparations, you should consult your doctor.

With prolonged use of beta-carotene, yellow coloration of the skin is possible, which is not dangerous (when you stop taking capsules, the yellow coloration of the skin disappears).

The use of the preparation does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, the work of a dispatcher, operator).
