Vagicin Neo vaginal tablets are indicated for the treatment of vaginitis caused by microorganisms sensitive to the preparation, including:

• bacterial vaginitis caused by banal pyogenic microflora;
• recurrent nonspecific vaginitis;
• vaginitis caused by fungi of the genus Candida (Candida albicans and Candida non-albicans)
• vaginitis caused by mixed infection.

In order to prevent infectious complications, the preparation is recommended to be used before starting any surgical intervention on the genitals, before abortion, inserting an intrauterine device, before and after diathermocoagulation of the cervix, before conducting intrauterine and intraurethral examinations, before childbirth.

Composition

Active ingredients: neomycin sulfate, polymyxin B sulfate, nystatin;

1 tablet contains neomycin sulfate 35,000 IU, polymyxin B sulfate 35,000 IU, nystatin 100,000 IU;

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose corn starch sodium croscarmellose; magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components (combinations of components) of the preparation.

Mode of application

For adults, use intravaginally in the evening before bedtime, 1 tablet per day. The course of treatment is 12 days, the prophylactic course is 6 days.

You should not interrupt the course of treatment during menstruation.

The use of the preparation during pregnancy is possible only as directed by a doctor in cases where the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

No cases of overdose have been reported.

Side effects

In rare cases, local irritation reactions occur, including redness, swelling, itching of the vaginal mucosa, contact dermatitis. When using the preparation, allergic reactions are possible, including anaphylactic shock, urticaria.

With vaginal use of aminoglycosides, side reactions sometimes appear. But due to the short custom-made treatment period, the risk of systemic toxic effects (for example, on the kidneys, hearing organs) is minimal.

Interaction

The preparation can block the action of topical spermicidal contraceptives. It should be borne in mind that when used simultaneously with a latex condom, the risk of rupture of the latter increases.
