Venocor injection solution is indicated for:

• acute disorders of cerebral circulation;
• traumatic brain injury, the consequences of traumatic brain injury;
• discirculatory encephalopathy;
• neurocirculatory dystonia;
• mild cognitive impairment of atherosclerotic genesis;
• anxiety disorders with neurotic and neurosis-like conditions;
• acute myocardial infarction (from the first day), as part of complex therapy;
• primary open-angle glaucoma of various stages, as part of complex therapy;
• relief of withdrawal symptoms in alcoholism with a predominance of neurosis-like and vegetative-vascular disorders;
• acute intoxication with antipsychotic drugs;
• acute purulent-inflammatory process in the abdominal cavity (acute necrotizing pancreatitis, peritonitis), as part of complex therapy.

Compound

Active ingredient: ethylmethylhydroxypyridine succinate;

1 ml of solution contains 50 mg of ethylmethylhydroxypyridine succinate;

Excipients: sodium metabisulfite (E 223), water for injection.

Contraindications

Acute hepatic or renal failure, hypersensitivity to the drug, childhood, pregnancy, lactation.

Mode of application

Venocor is prescribed intramuscularly or intravenously (jet, drip). Doses are selected individually. When administered by infusion, the drug should be diluted in physiological sodium chloride solution (200 ml). Treatment of adults begins with a dose of 50-100 mg 1-3 times a day, gradually increasing the dose until a therapeutic effect is obtained. Jet Venocor is injected slowly over 5-7 minutes, drip - at a rate of 40-60 drops per minute. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 800 mg.

During the period of treatment, care must be taken when driving vehicles or working with mechanisms, given the likelihood of side effects that can affect the reaction rate and the ability to concentrate.

Overdose

In case of an overdose, drowsiness is possible. Treatment is detoxification therapy.

Side effects

Rarely - nausea, dryness of the oral mucosa, allergic reactions, drowsiness, sleep disturbance, anxiety, emotional reactivity, distal hyperhidrosis, headaches, impaired coordination, increased blood pressure, decreased blood pressure.

Interaction

Venocor enhances the effect of benzodiazepine anxiolytics, anticonvulsants (carbamazepine), antiparkinsonian drugs (levodopa). Reduces the toxic effect of ethyl alcohol.
