For adults and the elderly, the recommended maximum allowable daily intake, which does not cause adverse events, is up to 4000 IU / day (100 μg / day). If necessary, the daily dose can be viewed after consulting a doctor. During pregnancy and lactation, vitamin D3 must be supplied to the body in the required amount. Exceeding the dose can adversely affect the health of the mother and child. Long-term overdose of vitamin D should be avoided.
