Product description

Zhastinda tablets are indicated for oral contraception.

Structure

Active ingredients: dienogest; ethinyl estradiol;

1 coated tablet contains ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg and dienogest 2 mg;

Excipients: lactose monohydrate, corn povidone starch, magnesium stearate talc;

Tablet shell: Opaglos 2 purified, containing: sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, maltodextrin, dextrose monohydrate, lecithin soy, sodium dihydrate.

Contraindications

Venous or arterial thrombotic / thromboembolic events (eg deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction) or a history of stroke.

A history of prodromal symptoms of thrombosis (eg, transient cerebrovascular accident, angina pectoris).

The presence of severe or multiple risk factors for the development of venous or arterial thrombosis.

Migraine with a history of focal neurological symptoms.

Diabetes mellitus with vascular lesions.

Severe liver disease until liver function tests return to normal.

A history of liver tumors (benign or malignant).

Or suspected malignant tumors (for example, of the genitals or mammary glands), dependent on sex hormones.

Vaginal bleeding of unknown etiology. Or a presumed pregnancy.

Hypersensitivity to active substances or to any of the components of the drug.

Mode of application

Take 1 tablet a day regularly at about the same time, with a small amount of liquid if necessary, in the order indicated on the package. Take the drug 1 tablet per day for 21 consecutive days. Taking pills from each next package should be started after the end of the 7-day break in taking the drug, during which withdrawal bleeding should take place. Typically, withdrawal bleeding begins 2-3 days after the last pill is taken and may not end until the next pack begins.

Overdose

The acute toxicity of ethinyl estradiol and dienogest when administered orally is very low. If, for example, a child takes several tablets of the drug at the same time, symptoms of intoxication are unlikely. Symptoms that may occur in this case include nausea, vomiting, and withdrawal bleeding. Withdrawal bleeding can be observed in girls even before the onset of menarche in case of unintentional / accidental use of the drug. No specific treatment is usually required. If necessary, symptomatic therapy can be carried out.

Side effects

From the nervous system: headache.

On the part of the reproductive system and mammary glands: soreness of the milk infections.

Interaction

The use of contraceptive steroids can affect the results of certain laboratory tests, including the biochemical parameters of liver, thyroid, adrenal and kidney function, plasma concentration of proteins (carriers) such as GOK, lipid / lipoprotein fractions, carbohydrate metabolism parameters, and indicators of coagulation and fibrinolysis. Usually such changes are within the normal range.
