Product description

Zinc ointment is a preparation intended for topical application to the skin as an adjunct in mild skin inflammation and skin abrasions. The active substance of the preparation is zinc oxide (Zinci oxidum), which, due to its drying effect, can also be used as an auxiliary in the treatment of acne. Zinc ointment can be used by both adults and children.

Indications

Supportive in mild skin inflammation, abrasions of the epidermis and as an aid in the treatment of acne.

Composition

100 g of ointment contains:

  • active ingredient: zinc oxide 10g,
  • excipients: hydrophilic petroleum jelly (cholesterol, stearyl alcohol, white wax, white petrolatum).

Action

Drying, anti-inflammatory and protective.

Dosage

The preparation is intended for topical application to the skin.

Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, apply a thin layer of the ointment with your hands 1-2 times a day on the affected areas of the skin.

Hands should be washed thoroughly before and after use.

In the case of acne, apply the ointment punctually.

If you have any doubts regarding the use of the preparation, consult your doctor.

Contraindications

You are allergic to zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Do not use the ointment on damaged skin or in acute skin inflammation

Storage

Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Do not use Zinc ointment after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Store in closed containers at a temperature not higher than 25 ° C. Protect from light. Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask the pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer needed. Such behavior will help to protect the environment.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Zinc ointment can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Interactions
