The first trimester of pregnancy is a period when, like no other, you need to be sure that you are getting enough folates, as low maternal folate levels are a risk factor for developing neural tube defects in a developing fetus.
The sources of folate in Femibion 1 are folic acid and calcium L-methylfolate (Metafolin). Metafolin is a "ready-to-use" form of folin that does not require further transformation and is directly available to the body.
Femiobion 1 also contains vitamin D to ensure adequate supply during pregnancy. Vitamin D is needed for the proper functioning of the immune system and cell division.
In addition to folates and vitamin D, Femibion 1 contains other carefully selected ingredients: 9 vitamins (including B vitamins, vitamin C and vitamin E), iodine, as well as selenium, choline and iron.
Iron involved in the production of red blood cells and helps to reduce tiredness. The need for holine increases with pregnancy. Choline is needed for proper homocysteine metabolism.
Usage:
One tablet a day with a cold drink, preferably during the main meal, as a supplement to a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
