Indications:

Protein is a herbal medicinal product used as an expectorant in a productive cough (so-called wet cough)

Composition:

the active substance of the preparation is dry ivy leaf extract Hederae helicis foli extractum siccum. One soft lozenge contains 26 mg of extract (in the form of a dry extract) of Hedera helix L., folium (ivy leaf; 5-7.5: 1), extraction solvent: 30% ethanol (m / m). The other ingredients are: acacia gum 85%, liquid sorbitol 70% non-crystallising (E420), liquid maltitol 75%, citric acid monohydrate (E330), acesulfame K, natural orange flavor (orange essential oil, ethanol 0.008 g / soft tablet), aroma Frescofort Permaseal (menthol; natural flavors, maltodextrin, modified starch), medium chain length triglycerides of saturated fatty acids, purified water. 1 soft pastille contains 0.53 g maltitol and 0.53 g sorbitol, equivalent to about 0.09 bread units.

Action:

this preparation belongs to a group of expectorant preparations used to help remove mucus and phlegm from the respiratory tract, resulting in relief in a productive cough (so-called wet cough).

Dosage:

Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, the usual dose is:
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: suck 1 tablet 4 times a day (equivalent to 104 mg dry ivy leaf extract daily).
The maximum daily dose of the preparation is 105 mg.
