Indications

Treatment of fever when other measures are contraindicated or ineffective.

Composition

1 sachet contains: 500 mg of metamizole magnesium in the form of metamizole magnesium hexahydrate. The other ingredients are: mannitol, povidone K29 / 32, sodium saccharin, orange flavor, sunset yellow (E110).

Action

Antipyretic.

Dosage

Adults - the dosage depends on the intensity of the fever and the patient's individual sensitivity to metamizole. Always use the lowest effective dose.
A single dose is 500 mg to 1000 mg (1 to 2 sachets). The maximum single oral dose is 1 g (2 sachets), the maximum daily dose is 3 g
(6 sachets).

Contraindications

Allergy to metamizole, other pyrazolone and pyrazolidine derivatives (e.g. propyphenazone, phenazone or phenylbutazone) or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Presence of analgesic asthma syndrome or known intolerance to painkillers characterized by hives, angioedema (swelling of the tongue, face, lips and / or throat), i.e. patients who react with bronchospasm or other anaphylactoid reactions to salicylates, paracetamol or other non-opioids painkillers, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatory preparations (NSAIDs) such as diclofenac, ibuprofen, indomethacin or naproxen. Occurrence of bone marrow disorders (e.g. after taking medicines that suppress the body's resistance) or changes in the blood count, such as a reduced total number of white blood cells (leukopenia) or a certain type of white blood cell called granulocytes (agranulocytosis), or anemia Presence of acute renal or hepatic failure, acute hepatic porphyria. Congenital deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (a rare inherited disease). Use of a preparation from the group of pyrazolone and pyrazolidine derivatives (e.g. phenylbutazone, propyphenazone). The period of pregnancy or breastfeeding.
