It has a laxative effect, for use in constipation.

Features:

It is a preparation in the form of tablets with a laxative effect for use in constipation. Active compounds formed from anthranoid glycosides contained in senna leaves and fruits affect the peristalsis of the large intestine, inhibit water absorption, which softens the faeces and facilitates defecation.

Contraindications:

Do not use the preparation in intestinal obstruction and narrowing, atony, appendicitis, inflammatory bowel diseases, abdominal pain of unknown origin, in the state of dehydration combined with loss of electrolytes. Taking laxatives longer than recommended may disturb the functioning of the intestines and cause addiction. There is a risk of electrolyte imbalance in patients with impaired renal function.
Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
It is not recommended to use the preparation during pregnancy and lactation.

Directions for use:

Children over 12 years of age, adults: 2-3 tablets before going to bed. The preparation should be washed down with plenty of water. Due to the different individual sensitivity, dosing should be started with the lowest dose (1 tablet), which should be increased, if necessary, to determine the effective dose. The laxative effect occurs after 8 to 12 hours, in the absence of it, the next dose of the preparation should be taken after 12 hours.
Taking the preparation up to 2-3 times a week is usually sufficient to achieve a therapeutic effect. In case of taking more Senefol® than recommended:
There may be cramp pains, diarrhea, with the possibility of dehydration and loss of electrolytes (water and electrolyte disturbances). Balance the lack of water and electrolytes. It is recommended to control potassium levels, especially in the elderly. Long-term anthranoid overdose may lead to hepatitis
In case of skipping a dose of Senefol®: Do not use a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose.

Composition:

Senna leaf and fruit - 300 mg. Auxiliary ingredients: potato starch, colloidal silicon dioxide (E 551).
