UROFURAGINUM MAX 100MG

UroFuraginum Max 100 mg is an over the counter tablet recommended for the treatment of bacterial urinary tract infections. The active substance of the product is furazidine, i.e. a nitrofuran derivative with bacteriostatic effect, among others for bacteria: Escherichia, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus faecalis, Klebsiella, Salmonella, Shigella, Proteus, Enterobacter. UroFuraginum Max tablets have high bioavailability and are well absorbed from the digestive system, achieving low levels of furazidine in blood and tissues and therapeutic concentration in urine. In addition, the complex mechanism of action on bacterial cells reduces the formation of resistance so that uroFuraginum Max and other preparations with furazidine can be used for recurrent cystitis and urethritis in adults and adolescents from 15 years of age.

Lower urinary tract infection in adults and adolescents over 15 years of age

uroFuraginum Max 100mg - composition:

1 tablet contains: contains 100 mg furazidin (Furazidinum)

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance, other nitrofuran derivatives or to any of the excipients, first trimester of pregnancy, during full term pregnancy (from 38 weeks) and childbirth due to the risk of haemolytic anemia in the newborn, children and adolescents under 15 years of age, renal failure (clearance creatinine below 60 ml / min or elevated serum creatinine), known polyneuropathy, e.g. diabetic, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.

Side effects:

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Of the adverse reactions observed during clinical trials, probably related to the use of the preparation, the most common were: nausea (8%), headache (6%) and excessive gas donation (1.5%).

Use of the preparation with food and drink

UroFuraginum Max tablets are recommended to be taken with meals containing protein, as it increases the absorption of the preparation. Avoid drinking alcohol during furagin therapy.

Product description: UroFuraginum Max is a drug in the form of tablets for oral administration.

Composition: The active substance is furazidine, also called furaglna. The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, silicified microcrystalline cellulose composed of: microcrystalline cellulose 98% and colloidal anhydrous silica 2%; magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium starch sodium carboxymethyl type A.

Indications: The indication for the use of uroFuraginum Max is lower urinary tract infections.

Action: The drug contains the active substance furazidine, also called furagin, which is a derivative of nitrofuran. Furazidine inhibits the growth of many bacteria that cause urinary tract infections.

Dosage: Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The tablet can be divided into equal doses. Oral use.

uroFuraginum Max should be administered with meals.

At the same time, follow a diet rich in protein. 

The drug should be washed down with plenty of fluids.

Recommended dose: Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age. First day of use: 400 mg a day in 4 divided doses (1 tablet every 6 hours); next treatment days: 300 mg daily in 3 divided doses (1 tablet every 8 hours). Usually the drug is used for 7-8 days. If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7-8 days, see your doctor.

Contraindications:Do not take uroFuraginum Max if you are allergic to furazidine or nitrofuran derivatives or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.in the first trimester of pregnancy.

during term pregnancy (from 38 weeks) and childbirth, due to the risk of haemolytic anemia (anemia associated with the breakdown of red blood cells) in the newborn. in children and adolescents under 15 years of age. if you suffer from peripheral polyneuropathy, e.g. diabetic (peripheral nerve damage syndrome, which can be characterized by movement, sensory or other nervous system disorders). if you have a deficiency of the enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (a disease associated with a genetically determined deficiency of an enzyme involved in the transformation of red blood cells), because the drug may then cause haemolysis (damage to blood cells and anemia). if the patient has renal failure (oliguria, anuria) and laboratory tests show a creatinine clearance below 60 ml / min or an increased level of serum creatinine.
