Pharmacological properties

The preparation has a systemic therapeutic effect due to the combination and mutual reinforcement of active components. has a bronchodilator, mucolytic, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and anti-allergic effect.

The preparation eliminates spasm and reduces bronchial reactivity, reduces shortness of breath, reduces the frequency and intensity of asthma attacks. Improves the quantitative (production volume) and qualitative (physicochemical) characteristics of sputum, promotes liquefaction and effective discharge of thick mucus. Restores the work of the ciliated epithelium of the bronchi.

The anti-inflammatory effect of the preparation prevents damage to the bronchi and lungs by free radicals and proteases, protects the pulmonary blood flow from the action of inflammatory mediators.

Reduces inflammatory infiltration and edema of the mucous membrane, prevents the development of sclerotic changes in the bronchi and lungs. Improves the state of systemic immunity, normalizes the functional state of the cellular link and indicators of humoral immunity (IgE and CEC levels), and also reduces the degree of antigenic stimulation. Promotes stabilization of mast cell membranes, reduces eosinophilia.

Indications

Application

Adults and children over the age of 12: 1 tablet or 10 drops of the preparation in pure form or diluted in 1 tablespoon of water;

children aged 5–12 years: ½ tablet;

children aged 2–12 years: 5 drops of the preparation, diluted in 1 tablespoon of water;

children under the age of 1 year: 1 drop of the preparation, diluted in 1 teaspoon of water or milk.

The preparation is taken 3 times a day - drops, 2 times a day - tablets.

At the beginning of treatment, as well as in cases requiring a rapid decrease in the severity of symptoms of the disease, it is recommended to take the preparation every 30 min – 1 h up to 8 times a day until the condition improves, but no more than 3 days, with the transition to a standard dose - 3 times a day ...

To increase the effectiveness, it is recommended to take the preparation between meals (30 minutes before or 1 hour after a meal), having previously held the preparation in the mouth for some time before swallowing.

The course of treatment: acute bronchitis - 2-4 weeks, chronic bronchitis - 4 weeks. Chronic obstructive bronchitis, BA - 2-3 months.

The preparation in tablet dosage form contains lactose, therefore, patients with rare hereditary forms of galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome should use the preparation in the form of drops instead of Atma tablets.

Use during pregnancy and lactation. There is still no information about any risk to the fetus and child due to taking the preparation during pregnancy and lactation, but the expediency of using the preparation is carried out taking into account the benefit / risk ratio, which is determined by the doctor.

Children. The preparation in the form of drops is prescribed for children over the age of 2 years. Tablets - for children over the age of 5 years.
