"Baby D3" is a food supplement containing vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol).

Peculiarities

"Baby D3" replenishes cholecalciferol deficiency, which takes part in the processes of bone mineralization (capture and retention of calcium by bone tissue), and also regulates phosphorus-calcium metabolism. Additional intake of cholecalciferol in infancy and early age is necessary due to the increased need for vitamin D3 during the period of active growth and development of the skeleton. Cholecalciferol deficiency leads to the development of rickets (growth retardation, skeletal ossification and impaired calcium-phosphorus metabolism).

Recommendations for use

It is recommended to be included under the supervision of a physician as a dietary supplement as an additional source of vitamin D3 for infants and young children with breast and mixed feeding in order to create optimal nutritional conditions for the functioning of the child's body. The daily physiological requirement for vitamins of group D (D2 - ergocalciferol, D3 - cholecalciferol) in infants and young children is increased through intensive growth and metabolism, while their content in breast milk is insufficient. Deficiency of vitamin D in the diet increases in the winter-spring period of the year through insufficient UV irradiation, which can lead to manifestations of rickets (growth retardation, impaired phosphorus-calcium metabolism, skeletal ossification). Therefore, supplemental vitamin D intake is recommended for infants and young children who are breastfed or mixed.

Composition

MCT (Medium Chain Triglycerides) Oil.

Vitamin D3 (as cholecalciferol).

1 drop contains 250 IU of vitamin D3 (6.25 mcg cholecalciferol).

Mode of application

Before use, unscrew the cap with the safety ring from the bottle and screw on the dispenser.

Little D3 can be used in various ways:

dilute the drops in a teaspoon of drinking water or milk, baby food;

• apply drops to the pacifier and give it to the child for 20-30 minutes;
• apply drops directly into the mouth before feeding the baby;
• apply drops to the breastfeeding nipple of the nursing mother before feeding the baby.

Full-term healthy infants (children aged from birth from two months of life to one year old) and young children (children aged one to three years) should be given two drops a day daily until they reach 3 years of age (for excluding three summer months).

Precautionary measures

It is not a drug.

Before using and with the simultaneous use of any medicinal products, a doctor's consultation is required.

Babies who are fed with the use of adapted formulas containing vitamins of group D, in the amount of daily physiological need, do not need to give an additional drug.

With mixed feeding, the doctor prescribes an individual daily dose of the drug, based on the calculation of the vitamin D content in the adapted formulas and breast milk.

Do not use concomitantly with preparations containing group D vitamins.

Before use and during use, it is necessary to control the calcium content in the urine.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Do not use the drug after the expiration date.

Contraindications

Do not take if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.

Storage conditions

Store at room temperature, out of reach of children.

Once opened, store at room temperature and use within one month.
