Product description

Baikadent is a medicinal product in the form of a gel for use on the gums in periodontal diseases. The preparation is anti-inflammatory by reducing the production of substances that cause inflammation in the cells of the diseased tissue. It also improves the condition of the gums by stimulating the activity of cells that regenerate the gums. The active substances of the gel - a complex of flavones isolated from the root of the Baikal thyroid gland - show antibacterial and antifungal properties, affecting pathogenic bacteria. Baikadent also affects bacteria that cause pathological changes in people suffering from chronic inflammation of the oral mucosa. The prophylactic use of the gel can prevent the development of periodontal diseases and improve the condition of the gums. The package is an aluminum tube containing 15 g of gel.

Indications

Adjuvant treatment of superficial and deep paradontopathies.

Periodontal disease prevention.

Chronic inflammation of the oral mucosa (also in injuries caused by dentures).

Composition

100g of gel contains:

• active ingredient: a complex of flavones isolated from the root of Scutellaria baicalensis 0.577g
• excipients: carbomer (Carbopol 5984), glycerol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide, anhydrous sodium carbonate, purified water.

Action

Anti-inflammatory, regenerating, antibacterial.

Dosage

Adults: externally, 2-4 times a day, immediately after brushing the teeth, rub about 2 cm of the gel into the affected areas of the mouth and do not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes.

Children and adolescents under 18 years of age: the safety and efficacy of Baikadent in this age group have not yet been established.

Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

In chronic inflammation of the oral mucosa, it is recommended to use the preparation systematically for a period of 2 weeks. If, after this time, the inflammatory symptoms do not disappear, see your doctor.

Contraindications

If you are allergic to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Storage

The preparation should be stored at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C, out of the reach and sight of children.

Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines no longer required. Such behavior will help to protect the environment.

Side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

No side effects have been reported with the use of Baikadent.

Interactions

Tell the doctor or pharmacist about all the preparations that the patient is taking now or recently, and about the preparations that the patient is planning to take.

Taking Baikadent with food and drink

After using the preparation, do not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes.

Warnings and Precautions

Exercise particular caution in people prone to allergies. If they develop swelling of the gums or other disturbing symptoms, stop using the preparation and consult a doctor.

Baikadent contains:

• propylene glycol - may cause skin irritation,
• methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate - may cause allergic reactions (possible late-type reactions).

Children and adolescents under 18 years of age

The preparation should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Due to the unknown risk of using Baikadent on the gums in pregnant and lactating women, its use is not recommended.

Driving vehicles and operating machinery

The effects on the ability to drive and use machines have not been studied.
