Product description

Betadrin WZF is a preparation used in the treatment of allergic rhinitis or rhinitis.

Dosage

The preparation is intended for use only in the nose. 1-3 drops in each nostril, not more often than every 4-6 hours.

The preparation should not be used for more than 3-5 days without a doctor's recommendation.

Composition

1 ml of the solution contains as active substances: 1 mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride and 0.33 mg of naphazoline nitrate and excipients: benzalkonium chloride solution, disodium edetate, boric acid, sodium hydroxide 10%, purified water.

Action

Betadrin WZF is a combination preparation containing an antihistamine - diphenhydramine and an alpha-adrenomimetic - naphazoline. As a result of the action of these two substances, the preparation removes the symptoms of rhinitis, such as runny nose, nasal congestion, redness, swelling with impaired sinus patency, especially if the cause is allergic.

Contraindications

Betadrin WZF should not be used if:

hypersensitivity to any of the preparation components or imidazole derivatives,

narrow-angle glaucoma, hypersensitivity to adrenergic agents.

Side effects

Very rarely, somnolence, arrhythmias, hypertension, headache and dizziness, nausea, sweating, anxiety, weakness, increased blood sugar levels have been reported.

The occurrence of systemic reactions, no improvement, intensification of local catarrhal changes, pain are an indication for preparation discontinuation.

Long-term use of the preparation may lead to secondary swelling and increased secretion, as well as to local changes in the nasal epithelium.

Some people may experience other side effects while taking Betadrin WZF. If you experience side effects, also those not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your doctor.

Use of other preparations 

Do not use the preparation simultaneously with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (preparations used, for example, in depression) and tricyclic antidepressants.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The preparation may be used during pregnancy only when, in the doctor's opinion, the benefit for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. The use of the preparation in a breastfeeding woman requires caution.
